Description

The last of four days with two clients who wanted to learn to navigate and go scrambling. The brief for the day was as much quality scrambling as we could fit in before driving back to London at 3pm. Milestone buttress seemed an obvious choice. Quick walk in, quality scrambling and options to connect routes. The clients led us to the crag. We went up Milestone Buttress Approach (an awesome route) and into the Milestone Continuation (another great scramble). From here we went onto the north ridge and descended and traversed to the Milestone Gully Approach, which was a soggy but a fun descent. Time was ticking on and it was time to head back to the car and begin the slog back to London. We reached the car by 3:30 pm and were well on the way by four. A great day out.

Area : Glyderau

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
